Do you find that you’re often worried about the future and bad things happening?  Have you noticed consistent muscle tension and soreness in your body, particularly in your chest, neck or shoulder areas?  Are you often stressed out or reactive to things going on around you?  Do you find it difficult to even know where to begin?  It’s normal to feel overwhelmed and anxious from time-to-time, but if you’re more often than not struggling with feeling overwhelmed and stressed out, it can be helpful to identify new ways to cope so that you feel less harried and more in control.

Through a combination of cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based techniques, I can help you to feel calmer and more balanced.  We’ll work together to develop strategies to effectively deal with stressors, and we’ll find ways to calm your mind and body so that you can be intentional about how you respond.  You’ll become more aware of your thoughts and how they impact your emotions, and you’ll learn ways to think more flexibly about problems and possible solutions.

Imagine how freeing it would feel to:

  • Turn down the volume of your inner critic—the inner voice that constantly tells you that you’re not good enough and that you’re going to fail and that you have to be perfect or else.
  • Focus instead on your inner wisdom—your wise mind that allows you to think in terms of possibilities and choices and is completely nonjudgmental.
