Will it EVER get easier to say “no”?

I hate upsetting or disappointing others, so it’s usually easier going along with things, even if it means having to bend over backward. Besides, I don’t want people to think I’m too selfish or pushy.

That is, until I start feeling resentful; I’ve lost a number of relationships this way. It’s stressful being pulled in so many directions.

You need to start putting yourself first.

How do I stop overthinking?

Being in my head is mentally exhausting. I wish I could stop my thoughts from constantly racing.

I don’t always want to have to read between the lines at meetings or when out with friends. It’s draining, and I end up feeling overstimulated.

If only you could learn how to take care of yourself.

Will I ever feel like I’m enough?

I’ve accomplished so much yet I feel like I’m walking on a tightrope.

And no matter what I tell myself, things take much longer than they should. I procrastinate until the last minute and miss out on life.

Even on vacation, relaxing by the pool, I can’t completely let go and relax. Life feels like a grind.

You wish you could take things less seriously.

Can I ever be in a relationship without it being all-consuming?

I fall hard for my romantic interests, and waiting for them to text back is challenging. I get worried they’ll ghost me.

The voice in my head says I’m too needy and need to toughen up. I wish I didn’t take rejection so personally.

It’s all too much for you.

Should I get a divorce?

It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally had enough. I wake up each morning with a knot in my stomach and crawl into bed, exhausted at the end of each day.

I know I’m making the right decision by ending this marriage, so why are things so complicated? Sometimes, I kid myself into thinking it would be better to stay stuck and unhappy.

Yet deep down, I know I can’t keep living like this. Something has to change.
