“We have more possibilities available in each moment than we realize.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh

It is normal to have periods in your life when you feel out of balance. Perhaps you are stuck in your relationship, or you're in the middle of a difficult life transition. Maybe you’re unsatisfied in your job or at school or are having trouble shutting off your worries. Perhaps you’re not able to maintain a healthy weight in spite of all of your efforts or to stick to your budget so that you can pay down debt and reach your financial goals.

You are not alone. Anxiety, depression and stress can make you more susceptible to feeling overwhelmed, irritable and fatigued. Making thoughtful decisions and enjoying life can often be more challenging.

As a therapist, I help adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression and stressful life transitions and challenges. By helping you to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that hold you back, you will be able to identify and practice new modes of thinking, feeling, and relating to yourself and others that will lead to positive changes. Together we'll explore effective and practical changes that can help you move forward in your life.  We'll work together to identify the values, goals and habits that align with your life, and we'll break them down into bite-size, manageable steps that you can act on.  It can be scary to deal with uncertainty and change, but you don't have to do it alone.   I'm here to offer you an experienced and nonjudgmental perspective.

In every moment, we make choices that impact us both positively and negatively. Today, choose to do something that will leave you feeling more present and hopeful. Counseling can help you focus on what you can control and more actively accept what is outside of your influence.

My office is conveniently located in downtown Rochester in the Ironwood Square Building and is within walking distance from many businesses. There is ample parking. The office waiting room is discrete and quiet.

I look forward to hearing from you!
